I’m a 30-something year old young mother and wife, trying to live the simple life in the big city with my two small boys and husband. We are a family of four living in 828 square feet. We’re trying to save money, the environment, and our sanity by living minimally and lightly on the planet. I enjoy baking, cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors with my family. I count decluttering my tiny home as one of my guilty pleasures, along with any of The Real Housewives reality shows.
The title of this blog comes from one of my favourite songs, “Over the Rainbow” from the movie, Wizard of Oz.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high.
There’s a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue.
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I’ll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops, Away above the chimney tops.
That’s where you’ll find me.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, bluebirds fly. Birds fly over the rainbow,
Why then – oh, why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow,
Why, oh, why can’t I?

Hi, Erin, I realize this isn’t a legitimate form of communication, but I was sent to you by Rachel Jonat of Minimalist Mom. I’m looking for a way to speak to you about an interview. Please feel free to email me at lily.c.nichol@gmail.com.
